Instrument Flight Rules - Multi Engine (M-IFR)

The Instrument Flight Rules - Multi Engine (M-IFR) Rating allows pilots to fly a multi-engine aircraft in lower visibility conditions and through cloud, when operating in accordance with an IFR flight plan. The Ottawa International Airport offers a busy IFR environment to learn the skills to operate in any airspace. With precision and non-precision approaches available, students don't have to go far to find the approaches and navigation aids required for training. The Ottawa Flight College also offers training for single-engine instrument ratings.

Professional Development Programs

Professional Development programs provide additional licenses and ratings that are commonly required in commercial operations.  The Private Pilot License is a prerequisites to vocational training as a Commercial Pilot (CPL) and the Night Rating is included in the Commercial Pilot program. The remaining licenses and ratings can be earned as and when required. Recreational Programs

Flight Training Diploma Program

The Algonquin College Aviation Management Program provides students with an Ontario College Diploma in General Arts and Sciences and the knowledge and skills to be a commercial pilot. In addition to the basic ground school and flight training, students will receive a wealth of aviation and business related knowledge and practical skills that will enhance their attractiveness to prospective employers.
