Professional Development Programs
Professional Development programs provide additional licenses and
ratings that are commonly required in commercial operations. The
Private Pilot License is a prerequisites to vocational training as a
Commercial Pilot (CPL) and the Night Rating is included in the
Commercial Pilot program. The remaining licenses and ratings can be
earned as and when required. While these ratings are not mandatory for
all commercial pilot jobs, each job and environment will have its own
requirements. Pilots planning on a career should earn the ratings that
match their career path. A bush pilot, for example, will not require
the multi-engine or IFR ratings but they will need a Float Plane rating.
